My office smells like a Bob Evans kitchen. It is not a pleasant smell. I curse the co-worker that decided to fuck-up everyone’s olfactory experience this afternoon.

Many moons ago I worked in a place where we had a “burned popcorn award.”

See, the office microwave had a button on it that said “popcorn” but it was actually too powerful for most bagged popcorn. However, most people would just put popcorn in, press the button, and poof, the whole office would smell like crap.

A Bob Evans kitchen doesn’t sound so bad. Fresh pancakes, grilled sausages.

So, you remind me of grad school when we had several folks in the department who would put their leftover fish lunches in the microwave. Everyday at around noon, the entire hallway smelled of day old fish. If you went into the lunch room, you could see one gentleman who liked to pop a whole fish head into his mouth and suck out the eyeballs.

Also, kimchi stored in the common fridge. I swear that stuff seeped through its glass container to season the entire contents of the fridge.

Good times.
